Virtual Bluebells

At this time of year we are usually sharing information about the best places to go for a Bluebell Walk or pictures of our groups enjoying the annual blue spectacular somewhere near them

This year, none of that is possible so we got together to share those that some us us are lucky to have close to home images from last year in the hope that they raise a smile for those unable to go ‘Bluebelling’  in 2020

So, sit back and take a deep breath of delicate bluebell scent and transport your self to a shady Forest filled with birdsong, courtesy of our groups…………..

The stunning pictures above  and below were taken near NWUK HQ right by our Festival site near Corfe Castle.

Beverley from Shropshire Hills Nordic Walking is lucky enough to have these beauties within walking distance from her home You can see her shadow as she captures the scene too!

Further south, back in Dorset we also captured a totally different species which is much shorter  growing on an exposed area of the Common. These dainty miniatures were snapped on an ancient site called the Rings which is steeped in History (come to our Festival to find out more…)

Christiane from Winchester NW sent us a picture of her dog Baz in the Bluebells near her but also got mega creative by creating her own version of the famous David Hockney painting from a scene she captured in the woods today

Finally for a round up of pictures from the New Forest, Derbyshire and Manchester (in that order)

The pictures below were sent in by MK Nordic Walking when they were able to go out as a group last year. It was lovely of them to send us the pictures to remind us all of what is waiting for us in the Natural World once we have conquered COVID 19
