Over 40 Nordic Walkers recently joined the HQ team on a glorious walk on our home patch here in Dorset. Local Instructors rallied to our call for a regional meet up in order to walk with a magazine Editor and to share stories of why we all love Nordic walking so much.
As you can see from this picture, a great time was had by all. The walk was about 4 miles and took in the stunning scenery around Corfe Castle including a climb up West Hill where the breathtaking views across Poole Harbour were a fitting finale to a fantastic day. The groups all met up again for Cream Teas in the Village and have agreed to meet up every two months or so to share their favourite routes.
Similar get- togethers are now taking place around the UK so ask your local Instructor if they are part of the FREEDOM programme and join in the fun!
Thanks go out to Kim Prince, Helen Gilchrist, Jo Sinclair and Lynne Martin for bringing their lovely smiley groups along. The next event in East Dorset will be on the 10th of May so if you are in the area and would like to meet up with the groups – call Lynne on 0333 1234 540.
