NWUK have partnered with the FIRST AID ACADEMY  to provide high quality first training at venues right across the UK. These courses are tailored towards Nordic Walking and the type of incidents most likely to occur when out with those poles!

OUTDOOR WILDERNESS FIRST AID

Two day programme 16 hours                                

The Outdoor First Aid course is the most popular course, and concentrates on issues involved with the longer term care of casualties in remote environments. It is often referred to as a Wilderness First Aid course or a Remote First Aid course.
A lot more emphasis is placed on incident management, monitoring casualties and
relaying information to Rescue teams. We assume minimal equipment (similar to
what is already on your back) and provide plenty of practical scenarios.

This 2 day (16 hour) course is suitable for, and recognised by the majority of
National Governing Bodies such as the MLTUK, BCU, BOF, SMBLA, BCA, BASI etc.

Unit 1 Emergency First Aid Skills
(U081 04): Leads to an Emergency First Aid at
Work (HSE) qualification

Unit
2 First Aid for Outdoor Incident Management (U422 04):
Leads to the ITC Certificate in Outdoor First Aid qualification.
