cheshire dd bev teachingNWUK delivery partners Mike Horton and Mark Phillips have  joined forces with Age UK to offer FREE Nordic walking inductions to anyone over 50 and living in the Birmingham area

In all, they have planned 16 tasters sessions and 16 NWUK Learn to Nordic walk courses. Those that attend can also benefit  from over 40 Nordic walks to practice their skills and complete the process.

Mark told us – “The target is get 200 people over 12 months through the tasters on to the courses and enjoying the walks. All of it is free provided through funding by the national lottery so its a very good deal for people in the Midlands” Tasters are being held at Cannon Hill Park, Sutton park, Harbourne  and Lickey Hills.

All sessions must be booked and attendees must be able to walk unaided, be in general good health  and not suffer from heart or respiratory illness. However, if you fall into the latter category don’t let that stop you taking up Nordic Walking as it is only this particular funded project that can’t include you at the moment.

To book onto these sessions call Mark on 07765138475  or book on line here
