They may have been a little earlier than usual but this year the Bluebells across the UK have made Nordic Walking even more special in recent weeks.
We always get lots of lovely comments on our Facebook page from people wishing to share the best spots to marvel at these stunning native flowers so we thought we would spread the word too.
If you pick up your poles and nip out today you will still have time to take a nordic walk through some of the best Bluebells woods on offer.
Our favourites are:-
Arlington Woods in East Sussex – not just bluebells on offer here as there is a farm shop too – the walks are fairly short so you may want to add some loops or maybe stop off on a longer route. The flowers are at their best at the moment so don’t delay! For more info click here.
The woods of Cree – Newton Stewart Scotland – a stunning RSPB wildlife reserve which as woodland trails and even some guided walks to make sure you see the Bluebells at their best. For more info click here.
Yoxall Lodge in Burton- upon -Trent – a range of walks for all levels through 100 acres of native woodland and even a slice of home made cake before you leave! for more info click here.
To find a bluebell wood near you visit the Woodland Trust website and enter your postcode by clicking here.
If you know of any great Bluebell walks – let us know by e mailing your suggestions and photos to gill@nordicwalking.co.uk or sharing them on our Facebook page.
