Here are a couple of great events that have asked us to let you know that they would love more Nordic walkers to join them

10 mile CIRCULAR WALK ON DARTMOOR September 14th 2014

RUTH HARRIS an Instructor based on Dartmoor has been organising this 10 mile walk on Dartmoor for Teenage Cancer Trust for 10 years now and the 2014 will be the last one she personally organises.

She told us ” Its fantastic terrain for Nordic Walking, I never walk without my poles so if anybody fancies 10 miles on stunning Dartmoor all I ask for is a £10 minimum donation for the teenage Cancer Trust ,more if you can or sponsorship forms available.”

This years event will be on September 14th,more details from info@nordicwalking.co.uk who will pass on Ruth’s e mail address.

FESTIVE FOREST CHALLENGE

xmas jumpersKevin Marshall wows us every year with his Festive woolly jumpers and although it might seem a tad too warm and a tad to early……..he wants other people to make a date to join him for this years FESTIVE FOREST CHALLENGE which combines a lot of fun with some fund raising too. Jumpers optional of course!

Choose from 10km, Half marathon or 20 miles in the lovely Kings Forest just outside Bury St Edmunds in Suffolk

In aid of the St Nicholas Hospice Care the event is on 29th NOVEMBER 2014 – more info can be found HERE There will be something for all levels and you can walk, Nordic walk or run. 

Chichester Half MarathonFinally, Instructor Sylvia May and her group in Chichester have been following their Half Marathon training plan in readiness for the CHICHESTER HALF MARATHON on Sunday 12th October. They would love other groups to join them too.

This event is going to TIME Nordic Walkers separately so if you want an OFFICIAL time for a Nordic walking half Marathon – enter today
