Here are some important dates for your 2020 Diary – Join our groups around the UK at some inspirational, challenging and fun events

MARCH 15th – Knowsley 10K 

The Running Bee Foundation is launching a brand new event for spring 2020, The Knowsley 10k at Knowsley Safari Park on Sunday 15th March at 9.30am.

Spectators are welcomed to get in on the action as well as enjoy a fun day out with the family. Parking will be available at a charge of £5 (pay on the day); this will allow access to the Foot Safari on the day. There is also an option for attendees to visit the Safari Drive after the event for an upgrade fee of £15 which in total is just £20 per car!!! The Foot Safari features meerkats, giraffes and sea lions. The Safari Drive features the lion enclosure as well as rhinos and wildebeest! For more info click HERE

APRIL – NORDIC WALK THE READING HALF MARATHON

For the last 4 years WALX 3JFitness have entered a Nordic Walking Team in to this unique road race with a stadium finish. This year they have a team of at least 15 people. We’d love to see the new Nordic Walking category grow and hope you will join us” says their Instructor Janine Lewis who will be on hand to make sure all Nordic Walkers have a great day

The event is fairly flat, with very very noisy supportive crowds and water stops every 3 miles. There are also toilets en route. The start is at the Green park, next to the Madjeski Stadium which is near junction 11 of the M4. There are also free buses from the Reading Station, plus a park and ride near the junction 11. MAY 1st – 3rd RUSTICK WEEKENDER – A mini Festival of Nordic Walking in the Peak District – join the local NWUK Instructors on walks and social events – If you have a FREEDOM pass you can choose and book each walk direct with the Instructor. For those without a FREEDOM pass, contact us to arrange a CONVERSION session at the event for more info click HERE

 

MAY 30th – GRASMERE GALLOP 10 k Trail Race

One of our ultimate favourites and the first event in the Country to encourage us Nordic Walkers. An inspirational route in the stunning Lake District in the Village famed for its Gingerbread. Enjoy a lovely sociable atmosphere as the cafes and Pubs fll up with walkers and runners post race too For more info see HERE

JUNE 27th WHINLATTER 10k 

Another Lakeland spectacular – this time in the stunning Whinlatter Forest – a great route for all levels. For more info see HERE

SEPTEMBER 18th – 20th PURBECK WALX FESTIVAL

This event has it all BUT HURRY as passes are selling very FAST!

Come and join us at our HQ location on the Isle of Purbeck in Dorset for hundereds of amazing themed walks plus two long distance challenge events and a host of workshops and presentations.

On the 20th we have an INSTRUCTOR FORUM in the Presentation marquee and are looking forward to presentations from leading experts – watch this space…………
